It was 6 a.m. on an August morning in southern Mississippi. It wasn't raining (for once) but the humidity was high enough it might as well have been. The mosquitoes were buzzing in my left ear and the assistant director was squawking in my right. I had finally laid enough cardboard to extract my rental car from the mud (a bi-weekly ritual). I'd had about four hours sleep, and there was no breakfast (something about the caterer's gambling problem mixing with the nearby riverboat casino). I had 15 minutes to get this shot before the Art department struck the set.
